My Photo

an epiphany...

  • One day seven years ago I found myself saying to myself– I can’t live where I want to... I can’t go where I want to go... I can’t do what I want to... I can’t even say what I want to... I decided I was a very stupid fool not to at least paint as I wanted to ~ Georgia O’Keeffe, 1923

A Pixiedust meme

Pink_beauty

"Revel in the beauty of each new day... grasp the smallest gift that Nature bestows and hold it tight like a treasure to be given to your one true love..."

Winter lingers on here in Pennsylvania and it seems fitting to come here and thank Pixiedust for tagging me with a beautiful meme that originated with Bookbaby, who was inspired by the book Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure . If you visit bookbaby's site you will find a youtube link that shows quite a few original and remarkable memoirs.

Here are the rules...

1. Write a six word memoir

2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration or photo if you’d like

3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post and to the original post if possible so the meme can be tracked as it travels across the blogosphere

4. Tag five more blogs with links

5. Leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play.

So with all that said... here is my memoir;

Recovering 'SELF' through words and pictures

Little_self_2

I now tag  AMY, SUSAN, MARILYN, LEONIE, and RACHEL

Have a beautiful weekend everyone, and continue being exactly who you so beautifully are... right here, right now, in this very moment.  xoxo

Just yesterday someone was Twittering about the 6-word memoir. I've been hearing/reading about it for years...but have never given thought to what mine would be. I shall ponder it and post a response--thank you for the tag. That said, yours is--in a word--perfect. (As is that beautiful photo.)

Beautiful words and just the right ones as always. You are amazing you are and I so love you! I want to rub noses with that shy little girl, giggle together for a long time, then go out and take pictures together. Oh, how I'd love to meet over a cup of tea and have a long chat... xoxo

Bravissimo! Oh, I love this photo, and your memoir is perfect... love to you...
